We liked the location inside the reserve, the view from our fifth-floor room, and the restaurant food was better than its 3.5 Google rating. But at around £320 a night, we wouldn’t recommend it. We’re touring Chile and have stayed in five places so far, all less expensive and better maintained, with basics like bedroom WiFi and tea or coffee facilities. Here, the outside areas looked like a scene from Jurassic Park 2, the toilet in our room wouldn’t flush, and there was no WiFi in the bedrooms or tea and coffee setup. We reported the problems, but nothing was done. We left disappointed with what we’d paid and felt the owners were milking the accommodation and its guests.

The outside looks good in social media photos, and that’s about the only positive I can see. Inside, the hotel is visibly deteriorating, our room was dirty, and the spa pools looked unhygienic. It’s a very expensive tourist trap and not worth the price. International travelers would be better off choosing somewhere else, since there are much better options in Chile for less.

Overpriced and among the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. The facilities are ugly and outdated, the pools were disgusting, and I found the staff clueless. As for the restaurant, it was the worst on earth. Do NOT eat there.

The scenery around the resort is gorgeous, and I want to be clear that my complaints are about the hotel itself. For nearly $2K USD for TWO NIGHTs, it was a huge rip-off and disappointment. The property was neglected and falling apart, with broken tiles, stained carpets, and pots of dirt and rubbish left in the hallways. It felt outdated and dirty throughout. I’ve stayed in hostels in rural Poland that were better kept. Service was mostly awful. No one helped us carry our bags from our room, and there was nobody to run the condor zip line, which was the reason we chose to come. My partner booked the only massage slot available that day, then they texted an hour beforehand to cancel it. There was only one masseuse at the spa, so getting a massage was already nearly impossible. They also had no guides for half the excursions we wanted. The food was some of the worst I’ve had. The cafe shack in the nearby village was better. If you have to eat at the hotel, stick to burgers at the Bar, or the grilled meat at the restaurant, which was decent. The javali braseado was the toughest meat I’ve ever eaten, the clam cream soup tasted like seawater with no flavor, and the pasta reminded me of a Chef Boyardee can. It seemed like the chef hated being in that kitchen. I could keep ranting, but I’ll stop for my blood pressure.

The scenery is amazing, and the hotel is beautiful too. The staff were friendly. I’d definitely recommend it to tourists exploring Chile.
