Puchaley Lafquen

We really enjoyed our stay and wished we'd found this place a few days earlier. It's quiet, tidy, and beautifully planted, with a magnificent view over the lake. We're the only ones here, which is great after crowded, noisy campsites full of families and dogs. We camped in our van, so I can't say what the lodges are like. It cost 10mill each, and it took some work to find a level spot, but a pile of chopped wood helped us manage. The sites have water taps but no power outlets, so we used one in the toilet block. The bathrooms and showers are clean and have hot water with good pressure, though they're very basic and look half-finished, with no wall tiles yet. The staff were friendly and helpful. We don't speak Spanish and they don't speak English, but we figured things out. We'll definitely recommend Puchaley Lafquen to other travelers on iOverlander, the site for people touring SA.

The cabin was roomy and cozy, with its own kitchenette, bathroom, fireplace, and supply of wood. It overlooks the lake, and the helpful administration made the stay stress-free.

The cabañas are well appointed, the hosts are friendly, and the surroundings are beautiful. I'd recommend it.

I camped here, and it had all the things you'd want a good campsite to have.
