Hotel Rex

We brought our pets, and the staff happily let them sit with us on the terrace and even brought them water. The service was especially friendly and attentive. We had fried conger eel and hake with homemade fries, which is always a plus when they’re actually homemade. Everything was fresh and exquisite, and the location is great. Five stars for all of that.

We weren’t hotel guests, just stopped in for lunch, and the meal was a 10/10. The place had a great atmosphere and, unlike the surrounding restaurants, wasn’t packed. Everyone was friendly, the service was excellent, the prices reasonable, and the food delicious.

I’m only sharing my experience at the restaurant. The location is good, and the staff are well trained with excellent service. The pastry was good, but the food was just okay. The clams with Parmesan were probably old and the worst I’ve had recently. They clearly put effort into presentation, yet the fish dishes weren’t tasty, especially for a fishing village.

Marcial is a wonderful host, kind, attentive, and helpful. We stayed two nights, and the clean, well-equipped rooms were heated, with comfortable beds and ocean views. The beach is just 100 meters away, and there are plenty of nearby amenities, including restaurants, pubs, and gas stations. There’s ample parking, restaurant service on-site, and a lovely fireplace. Highly recommended.
