Hotel El Coihue

The room was large, with roomy closets, and there was hot water, which was what mattered, even though the shower itself wasn’t great. Breakfast was delicious and served at the table. Ana was excellent, attentive, and helpful. It’s great that they’re setting up a proper lounge for tourists, with a reception area more suited to guests than just the dining room.

The location and the staff’s attentiveness were the only good parts of our stay. I’m giving one star because zero wasn’t an option. There was no reception, even though it was meant to be open 24/7. The beds were uncomfortable and creaked with every breath. The shower temperature swung drastically, and there was no soundproofing at all. Breakfast portions were far too small: the listing promised two courses, but we only got half. There was no fresh juice, hardly any fruit, and the bread was harder than a bone.

We stayed one night and everything was excellent. The reception and breakfast were both great, and we really appreciated how attentive the staff were. I highly recommend the place!

We checked out on October 16, 2025, after an excellent stay. The room was very nice and just right for resting overnight before continuing our sightseeing. Breakfast was healthy and balanced. I’d definitely come back, especially for a stay focused on rest rather than extravagance.
