Hotel O.Gudenschwager

The beds were really comfortable, and there was plenty of space for four people. We also liked the location and the tasty breakfast. But the bathroom felt dated and had a faint musty smell, and we could hear people in other rooms. The main problem was that we had no hot water. There had apparently been a power cut overnight that affected the boiler, and several attempts to fix it didn't work. They eventually gave us a partial refund. We were there for one night. It’s a good hotel, though its age may be affecting the service guests expect. I wish them well.

For a hotel that's 100 years old, the rooms are comfortable, and the location is excellent. It does need better upkeep, though. Time is clearly catching up with the building.

Pucón couldn't offer a better location for this genuine, characterful place. The rooms are simple but practical, with spectacular views of the lake and Villarrica volcano. We had warm, excellent service, and the breakfast was both delicious and filling. The restaurant also serves tasty set menus at reasonable prices.

Everything else was perfect, and it's a very nice place. The rooms could use some improvement, though they don't look quite like the photos. For a single night, I found the price a little high.
