Hotel Posada del Río

Carolina and everyone on staff were warm and helpful, and we enjoyed the lovely breakfast. Our spacious, sunny loft had a small balcony where you could spot the volcano behind the trees. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. It's also a relaxing place for walks by the river and through the large gardens.

Breakfast felt more like brunch, and you could have it any time in the morning beside the fireplace. The staff were outstanding and did whatever they could to make you happy. It's good value for money, with lovely views and a private, tucked away setting.

Carolina welcomed us warmly and gave us useful tips that helped us make the most of our time in Pucón. Our group was two families, nine people altogether, and the cabin worked perfectly for us. It was functional, everything worked, and the kitchen appliances were fairly new. The showers had very good pressure. On chilly days, having cut wood ready for the living room's wood stove was a lovely touch. We also got cleaning service and fresh linens and towels every two days, since the cabin is on a hotel property. The wooded setting, just meters from the river, gave us lots of privacy. Its strategic location put the main activities 15 to 30 minutes away, and we avoided the traffic jams going into and out of Pucón. We had an excellent stay.
