The common area was really nice and well equipped, and the host was super friendly. The room was lovely too, and there are lots of amenities. Parking was a little unclear, and since we visited off-season, the lighting was sometimes dim. There are lots of kittens.

After hours on the road, we arrived with a reservation only to be told someone else had arrived and rented our cabin. We had nowhere to stay. The owner offered another cabin at an extremely inflated price, and we eventually reached an agreement, but her organization was terrible. It was 11:00 PM and almost impossible to find somewhere else. She hadn’t even called ahead to help us look for another cabin. Simply awful. The bathrooms are well equipped, but when two people shower in separate bathrooms at the same time, the water pressure and temperature drop. We’ll file a complaint with SERNAC (Chilean Consumer Protection Agency) and seek to hold them responsible.

My wife and I found a wonderful place here, full of the south’s magic and a homely warmth. The terraces overlooking the river are comfortable, with a hot tub among forest that feels largely undisturbed. They also have a kayak they can lend you for a ride on the river. Nicol teaches yoga classes that leave you ready for the day, and the breakfasts are exquisite. We highly recommend them. We finished our stay with therapeutic massages that left us feeling full of energy for the return trip. 10/10, highly recommend. Oh, and the location is close to and easy to reach from the area’s most beautiful and touristy spots.

What makes River Lodge Pucon feel so magical is the place itself. The owner and her daughter welcomed us warmly and showed us around, and both were so kind. Our room and bathroom were clean, too. I’ve added a few photos to show how enchanting it is. I’d definitely recommend it.
