Mawün Hotel Pucón

Breakfast arrives right at your room, and it's very nice. The staff are happy to help and really helpful. You can walk to the lake beach, shops and restaurants from this great spot in Pucon. Parking is available, but there aren't many spaces. I liked it enough to come back for a second stay.

There's a small number of parking spots behind the hotel. Breakfast gets delivered to your room from 9, at least on weekends. It's a good, new hotel in central Pucon, with everything you need nearby. The people at reception are nice and helpful, and their English is good. Recommended.

Being right in the center of Pucón, with everything just steps away, is a real luxury, even though the town itself is small. Beyond that, the hotel mainly gives you somewhere to sleep. Its services, accessibility, security and comfort leave a lot to be desired. There are several holes in the walls and ceilings that suggest maintenance has been neglected. The room has no minibar or safe, and there's no room service. The breakfast is very limited, so it's not much use if you have dietary restrictions. Instead of a restaurant, there's just a breakfast area that opens at 8:40 AM, although most tours leave at 8:00 AM. Without a minibar, you can't buy or store food for yourself. The showers and stairs have no non-slip surfaces, a safety concern that's worse given the area's weather. The hotel has three floors and no elevator, so older guests and people with limited mobility will have difficulty getting around. I asked for a suggestions or complaints book and was told there wasn't one. Places that don't assess themselves are unlikely to improve.
