The location is great, with an easy walk to both the town center and the lake. There's also nice seating on the third floor with a view of the volcano. I was traveling in Chile, had a bad experience at a nearby hotel, and found myself in a jam late at night. Willhouse opened its doors after hours and gave me a very comfortable bed at a great price. I'm so grateful they helped me when I needed it. Great hostel and great value, highly recommend 👌
The young atmosphere was nice, and the volunteers and workers were pleasant. Beyond that, I have nothing good to say. I booked one night, and while I was sitting on the bottom bunk, the whole bed collapsed on me. I had to go to the hospital. The owner offered no apology, just a refund in coins. If it had happened while I was asleep, I could have died. If you care about your safety, don't sleep here, or at least avoid the bottom bunk.
Clean, nice, and a great kitchen. It has a really comfy, familiar feel. Definitely recommend (:
The rooms were clean and the location was good, but the rules were incredibly strict. After midnight, you can't use the kitchen or make food, and you're confined to your room. I was sitting quietly on the terrace and was rudely told to go to my room and go to bed. I haven't been told that since I was 10. I understand quiet hours and always respect them, but this felt ridiculous.
Loud and uncomfortable, with rude voluntarios running the place. You can't use the common area after midnight. At 12:05, while I was sitting quietly on the deck, I was told to go to my room. The staff were very rude. I've never experienced anything like it. Highly recommend staying at literally any other hostal.
