Furnished Apartment Cabañas del Profe

The apartment was spotless, just as it looked in the photos, and the neighborhood was quiet and relaxing. We had to find somewhere urgently after our Booking.com reservation fell through while we were already at Chilean customs. The gentleman replied right away and had an apartment available, then waited for us until we arrived at 10 pm. Best part was Canelo, the neighbor's dog, who was the best host. Excellent value for money, 100% recommended.

The shower had no hot water because the heater wouldn't warm up, and we couldn't bathe our baby or cook for him as planned. The kitchen had puddles but no mop, cloths, or cleaning products, just dish soap and a sponge. There was only one pot and cutlery, with no cooking utensils. In the bedroom the TV wouldn't turn off unless we unplugged it, there was no lamp, and the outlets were faulty. We first looked around, thought it seemed fine, and accepted, but when we came back in the rain we noticed all these problems. They didn't even apologize. We paid $40,000, despite there being places for the same price or even a little less in much better condition. I absolutely don't recommend it.

The photos look appealing, but there were plenty of problems once we got there. The pots and pans were dirty, and the kettle had food scraps in it. From 3:00 PM to 8:40 PM we had no kettle or pot, so we couldn't leave. The bathroom shower leaked and its doors wouldn't close properly; water from the second floor was easy to hear. On day two the gas was cut off and we had to wait for the gas man. My partner ended up replacing the cylinder, and the cabinet it sits in was completely rotten. The humidity is an imminent danger for people with a history of pneumonia, lung problems, COPD, and similar issues. Some areas clearly aren't maintained.

The cabin's good points were cable, Internet, and air conditioning. But in the first-floor cabin you can hear every step upstairs, the bathroom has no ventilation and smells of sewage, and the main bedroom has no closet. The electric gate doesn't work and could easily fall, which is an imminent danger. If you don't leave on time, they come in without permission to clean for the next renter. A 2.
