The three dogs, Anku, Ara, and Simon, plus the three cats, were a lovely bonus. I also found the bathrooms in decent shape, much better than many we've seen in South America. The interior was roomy and cozy, breakfast was enough, and laundry was available for a fair price. The chico running the place was such a great person. He had plenty of useful tips and was on top of cleanliness and hospitality. He even checked whether the temperature was comfortable and lit the fireplace when it got a little chilly, so we had no temperature complaints. The bus terminal is about a 25-minute walk, or an Uber costs $3. My one issue was the online booking system on the website, which gave me a lot of trouble. They sorted it out over WhatsApp and made a reservation since the portal wasn't working for me. If I could, I'd stay for a month. I'll definitely come back to Puerto Montt if I stop there again.

The welcome was lovely, but the room felt cramped, and there was dust, leaves, and bird droppings on the bed. Maybe a skylight had been left open before we arrived. The bathroom was okay, though cramped and nothing special. There was peeling paint and mould, and the property felt damp and cold overall. The garage workout room or studio shown in the photos no longer exists, and the place is much more worn than the pictures suggest. A helpful person was working there, but the owner didn't seem interested in speaking with us when she arrived. Later, when we were already in bed, she messaged asking for payment because she had to leave “too early” the next day, whatever that meant. We agreed to check out of the room at 11 and leave the property at 3. Staying any later would cost 5000 per hour, which felt greedy, since many better places charge far less. Despite the lovely helper, the owner clearly doesn't care. We wouldn't return or recommend it.

Good value for the price, with Angelmo fish market nearby and downtown Puerto Montt about a 20-minute walk away. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms clean. I'd stay here again.

What a fresh, beautiful, spacious house, with activities too. They've set up the garage for classes, and I LOVE IT!!
