We'd been waiting for half an hour while the woman at reception muttered that she couldn't remember our booking or what to charge us. She seemed to have no idea what she was doing. They don't speak English and appear unable to use the computer.

The location is very good, and the price was reasonable for a convenient place to stay. The facilities were only okay and could use some improvement.

I only stayed because I arrived so late that finding another place wasn't an option. The room was terribly cramped, and I had to duck to keep from hitting my head on the ceiling. Damp had left the walls cracked and crumbling, the bathroom tiles were broken, and the place smelled awful. Springs in the mattress dug into my back, and there was a huge hole down its middle. On the busy street, even a small truck made the bed shake. The thin walls let in the cigarette smell and noise from other rooms, and hallway footsteps felt like they were right beside me. A terrible stay.

We called at 5 pm to ask for a room just for the early morning. A woman answered, heard the details, and agreed, knowing we were traveling with an emotional support dog. We'd come from Valparaíso and needed a place from 3 am until 8-9 am that same day, before taking the ferry at 10 am. When we arrived at about 3 am, the male receptionist refused to let us stay because we had the dog, leaving us stranded. The dog has all the required certification and paperwork. I felt discriminated against, and I understand this is illegal. It was a very bad experience. Legal action is still a possibility.
