The receptionist was somewhat friendly, so that's where the one star comes from. The place itself was horrible: cold throughout, with no heating, old and barely clean, and messy. The WiFi was poor, and the rooms were very overpriced. We were soaked from the rain and still had to wait around 20 minutes to check in, and the attention to guests wasn't great. About 50 dogs were barking in the streets and kept us awake, though that's obviously not the hostel's fault. I don't recommend it.

Dirty, cold, and not welcoming, especially for the price. I've stayed in better hotels in Patagonia and Chile overall. The whole town does seem to have overpriced rates, though. I'd only stay here if everywhere else were full, and I wouldn't recommend it.

It works for a night while you're passing through, but the walk is uphill if you plan to go on foot. There aren't enough bathrooms for so many rooms, and the sink floods.

It's about 15 or 20 minutes from the Puerto Montt bus terminal, though the many uphill streets aren't mentioned. We arrived early to leave our bags and were given a room to store them. The bathroom I checked was dirty, the sheets smelled musty, and the bedspread had stains. They offered another room, but there was hair on the shower's non-slip mat and grease on the walls. Thankfully, we only stayed one night. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend it.
