It’s rustic and clean, but the owner or manager wasn’t very friendly. You pay first, then find out about the rules, with no explanations or warnings. No drinking, and the kitchen closes at 9h30. They want to forbid eating and drinking in your private room, which feels controlling. The kitchen is too small and doesn’t work properly because the oven is old. No fun allowed.

We’d confirmed our room reservation in advance over WhatsApp, but they messaged us two hours before arrival to say they’d overbooked and couldn’t host us. From the other reviews and things we’ve read on other websites, it seems this has happened to others too. Avoid it unless you want to scramble for somewhere to stay two hours before getting there.

A genuine, unpretentious place where travelers get to meet locals. You can camp or get a bed, and they have all the gear you need for treks. Thanks, guys!

Casa Lili has a lovely atmosphere, with cozy rooms and incredibly friendly, helpful staff. They stored our bags for 3.000 pesos while we did the W-Trek, and they offer laundry service too. We felt very welcome and would definitely recommend this cute little hostel.
