Casa Hain

We were put in a room with bugs flying around and bugs in the bathtub, so we asked to move. During our two-night stay, the staff were rude and unhelpful. The rooms, hallways, and stairs were unfinished and very squeaky, and it didn’t seem like they planned to finish them. Breakfast was served late, and with early tours you only get a bag lunch that isn’t filling. On our second morning, staff were 25 minutes late opening for breakfast. Our room was next to the laundry room, apparently, and it was very noisy at night.

The place has a beautiful look and a strong awareness of its culture. The staff were wonderful, and the rooms were big. I just wish the walls were thicker, because we could hear everything all the time 😬

The WiFi is strong, and the staff are friendly. There’s a large guest kitchen for cooking, and they serve dinner too. The included hot breakfast was decent, and the place was fairly clean. It’s a few blocks from the city center, but it can get kind of loud at night.

The manager was helpful, and the owner is a sweetheart with a cute dog. Hain was still a bit of a construction site when we visited, though I suppose that means things are being developed. A good budget option, and recommended.
