Tribal house

The house was charming, clean, and comfortable, and I only wish we’d had time to stay longer. Melita was a great host: she waited up when our delayed flight got us in late, then put together an early breakfast before we had to leave.

The owners, Melita and her husband, Don Tito, made us feel like we were visiting family. If you want a break from the city, this is a lovely spot, about 15 min from the airport. The room upstairs was huge, with a really comfortable bed, and there’s a living room and dining space downstairs. Breakfast included homemade bread and biscuits. Melita can also cook dinner for a small cost if you ask ahead. We did, and it was nice to have a home-cooked meal with fresh salad from the garden. The whole place has a cottage or farmhouse feel. What a great find.

The Tribal House was a great place for my early flight, less than 5 miles from the airport. Tito, Melita, and Jorge, the brother, made us feel right at home in their lovely house. Everything was super clean and comfortable, from the living room to the bedroom and bathroom. They can make dinner for a small charge, and the cute dogs outside are very friendly. When you're in Punta Arenas Chile, I'd stay here instead of a drab hotel.

We loved staying here. It’s peaceful, and the people are wonderful, so we highly recommend it. Even though it was already midnight, Melita greeted us with so much warmth, cooked for us, and brought vegetables from her garden. She made us feel right at home.
