Alhambra Hotel

Pepe was the highlight of my stay. He helped me get oriented around the city and even lent me his phone charger. I was there in 2019, on my first day in Chile. The hotel covered the basics: it was clean, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was good. The bathroom was very basic, and my room felt a little cold. The central spot in Lloleo was excellent.

I turned up at 3 a.m. after finding no other hotel open, or at least none answering their phones. The room was a pleasant surprise, with heating and a big, very comfortable bed. It felt much like the standard at Diego de Almagro hotels. Breakfast was generous and very good, even though it wasn't a buffet. I'd highly recommend it.

Everything nearby made the location perfect, from supermarkets and pharmacies to restaurants. I stayed one night and it had what I needed: a clean, comfortable room and a simple but tasty breakfast. The reception staff were especially nice, all very friendly.

The building has an old-fashioned look and seems nice at first, but the entrance stairs have very small steps. At the top there's a rug that could make you slip and fall if you step on it the wrong way. The customer service was awful. I was there for a week, and even though I didn't have much reason to deal with the man who is usually at reception, each time I did he treated us badly and sometimes yelled. He was rude and disrespectful, discriminatory, and made fun of other people's accents.
