The bungalow was cute, clean, and comfortable, with a hot shower and good pressure. Our group was my family of three, including my 3yo, plus two friends. We paid around 80,000 CLP for the bungalow with breakfast, which felt like great value. I’d love to try one of the unique-looking domes next time. I’d been to Cajón del Maipo a couple of times for day trips to the hot springs and reservoir, but this was my first overnight stay with activities, and it was such a good call. Cascada de las Ánimas is incredibly beautiful, almost magical, with a fairytale storybook look I don’t usually see where I’m from. There’s lots to do, from ziplining, rafting, rock climbing and trekking to the pool, spa and massage. We went trekking, and although it’s recommended for kids over 5, my 3yo loved it. We also booked a 7pm jacuzzi session. Listening to the water under a sky full of stars was unforgettable and so relaxing. The massage was fantastic too. I hadn’t expected much, but the therapist was attentive and clearly did her best, which I appreciated.

The restaurant was amazing, and I’d love to come back someday. It’s a beautiful place to stay with very good service. The waterfall hike is short, but the guides stop along the way to talk about the nature around you, so it takes about an hour and a half. I’d recommend continuing to the second waterfall. It’s a harder hike, but worth it.

They said the hike would take 1h30, but for someone who walks well, it’s at most 15 minutes each way. A guide is required, and he stops halfway to talk for about 30 minutes, which gets kind of boring. At 10,000 CLP per person, it’s extremely overpriced and not worth it.

This used to be a nice, accommodating place, but lately the receptionists have been extremely rude. It no longer feels welcoming to foreigners. Skip it and go somewhere else.

Horseback riding with Valentina was unforgettable. The trail was peaceful and scenic, with breathtaking views the whole way. One horse was a bit stubborn, which gave us a few laughs. Valentina was friendly, patient, and clearly experienced, so we felt comfortable throughout. We had an amazing time and highly recommend it!
