So far, my favorite stay in South America. The price feels reasonable for the cleanliness and service. It’s a small place, so the kitchen is usually free and kept clean. Rooms are cleaned every two days, and they also do laundry. It’s a little way from the main street, which makes the area peaceful, but it’s still central. 100% recommend!

We were very happy with our three-night stay in October 2025. The staff were attentive and friendly, and laundry is available for 3.000 CLP per KG, ready the next day. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was clean and pleasant. Hot water and good pressure, plus steady Wi-Fi with no interruptions. A small kitchen shared by two rooms was useful for making coffee in the morning or a sandwich to take on tours, and the terrace was lovely too. For the price, the location works well: about a 10-minute walk to the main street and 20 minutes to the bus station, so we didn’t need a taxi. I’d definitely recommend this hotel in San Pedro de Atacama.

Veronica and Mayra were so kind and accommodating, and the place is peaceful, with lovely mountain views. It’s about an 8-10 minute walk from the Main Street. Our room had a comfortable bed, an en-suite bathroom and a lovely outdoor area to sit and relax. There’s a well-equipped shared kitchen, and laundry is available on site. When we checked out, the hosts kept our bags and let us continue using the kitchen because our flight was late. Casa Los Duendes is a very comfortable place with great facilities.

Mayra was especially friendly and helpful, and we had a very pleasant stay at Los Duendes. It’s a calm, quiet spot near the center of San Pedro, just a short walk from the main street. Our room shared a kitchen with one other room, which I appreciated since I could cook instead of always eating out. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable.

Marcelo was wonderful, always smiling, kind, responsive and helpful. Our room had no AC, just a small table fan, but it was still fine even in the hot season. It was a bright, pleasant room with big windows opening onto the terrace, and we had our own table and chairs out there for meals. The kitchen was well equipped, and room cleaning was included every other day. The calm surroundings were enjoyable, while the main street was still only a short walk away. It felt like a nice blend of hostel facilities and hotel comfort. Casa los Duendes was a hidden gem for us, and we wholeheartedly recommend it.
