Hostal El Anexo

The town center is an easy short walk away. I stayed in my tent, and there’s room for about three tents in the garden. It felt cozy and pleasant, though the Wi-Fi was pretty weak. The kitchen is small but has what you need, and the bathrooms and showers are spacious.

The facilities were clean, and the hostel is well set up, with a kitchen guests can use and laundry for 3000 per kilo. It’s close to the center, and the owner was friendly and helpful. A great place to stay!

Mariela, the owner, was a friendly host, and the place was very clean. It’s a decent spot, though there’s hardly any English spoken, if that matters to you.

My friend and I stayed here a few days ago. I charged my phone in the outlet by the door, where the lady had told me to put it, but it was gone when I woke up. We had to leave early for a tour, and with nobody at reception, I left a written message. No one got back to me, so I emailed Mariela. She replied, literally, “You were drinking alcohol and invited a person to the hostel so this person must have taken your cell phone.” The only alcohol I had was the glass of wine they gave me on arrival, and it was just my friend and me there the whole time. I’m furious about that response. My phone was missing, and they wrongly accused me and lied, presumably to cover up that someone on staff took it. Avoid this hostel by all means!
