Hotel Takha Takha

We had a really enjoyable stay here on our Atacama Desert trip. Just bear in mind, it's glamping rather than a hotel.

We booked a room with a shared bathroom and toilets just next door, and it worked out well. The staff were quick to help whenever we had questions. When we headed out on a trip, they prepared a breakfast box with a sandwich, chocolate bar, nuts, and juice. Staying in meant coffee and eggs on the little patio. We also had the pool to ourselves when we tried it. I loved this place, and four nights cost us very little.

The facilities and location are good, but the people working here are what made it special. Everyone treated us so warmly and made us feel welcome. Thanks!

From the street you wouldn't guess there's a garden oasis inside, full of flowers and trees, and the center is only a two-minute walk away. Parking is free, and you can sleep in your own van or tent, with designated outdoor bathrooms. Everything was very clean, and Wi-Fi now reaches the whole hotel. I stayed a few years ago and it wasn't available everywhere then. The service is friendly and personal where possible. Rooms are simple and clean, with very comfortable beds, and breakfast was tasty. I was glad there are no TVs in the rooms, so you can actually relax, watch the beautiful sunsets, and barbecue in one of the designated spots. They have some big but nice dogs.
