Incahuasi Travelodge

Sandra, the hostess, was so friendly and accommodating. The place feels peaceful in the middle of San Pedro's busy tourist scene, set away from downtown but only a short walk from it. Our room was comfortable and stayed cool despite the heat, and the courtyard was beautiful to sit in. Breakfast comes in a buffet selection delivered to your fridge the night before, so you can eat whenever you like in the morning. I also appreciated having a small kitchen for some independence and a large jug of drinking water in the room. I think it's great value for the price and would stay again.

The shared patio was a nice bonus, and room 6, right by the kitchen, was comfortable. It had a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. The little compound is tucked away in the north of town, a bit removed from the main street but easy enough to walk to. My one gripe was the long street leading to the B&B. I kept wishing there were some trees to give shade on the walk into town and back.

Sandra Fuentes made our four nights at Incahausi feel really special. She was welcoming and helped us plan the rest of our trip to Southern Chile, drawing on her travel agent experience and knowledge of the area. Tour companies could pick us up there, which was convenient, and the place was quiet despite being a short walk from central San Pedro. We loved the outdoor patio for a glass of Chilean wine under the Southern Hemisphere stars. Breakfast was excellent, and our clean room had a private shower and kitchenette. The compound’s decor felt authentic to the beautiful Atacama, and the stay was comfortable and family oriented, like a home away from home. I’d happily recommend it.

This is a cozy, family-run B&B. Sandra was great and went out of her way to help us with our tours and make sure we had what we needed. A great place to stay.
