The people working there were lovely and friendly every time we came in. That was easily the best part of our stay, but the hostel didn't meet our expectations overall. We had a private room and bathroom. The room was generally clean, but there was quite a bit of hair on the bedding, and the brushed cotton made it more noticeable. The towels were clean but stained, and so were the sheets. Over four nights, we only got two hot showers between us. The shower was cold most of the time, which is the main thing to keep in mind. The kitchen is quite limited and isn't really set up for proper cooking. It depends what you want to use it for. At breakfast, the older man preparing it was territorial about the kitchen, so trying to make our own breakfast felt uncomfortable. There isn't much of a place to hang out either, just a small balcony off the kitchen. Traffic on nearby Av. Providencia made things loud, especially when we needed the window open. Even with the staff being so nice, I wouldn't recommend this hostel ☹️

The guys at reception were friendly, and the location was good. But our room was extremely noisy and really hot, with no ventilation provided. Its little window looked onto the hallway by the kitchen, so we had to keep it shut for privacy and to cut down the noise. The kitchen was average, the only toilet on our floor stayed blocked for over a day, and hot water wasn't guaranteed. I wouldn't recommend it!

I had a private room and enjoyed it. Compared with other hostels in the country, this one was nice. The staff also helped me arrange airport shuttles. I'll stay again when I'm back.

Great service and a wonderful location, with a metro station only a few blocks away. Everything was very clean. The bunk beds were a little wobbly, and the small outdoor area unfortunately gets hot in the sun.

We'd booked and paid for a night at Atacama Backpackers, but our flight to Santiago was delayed. We knew we'd get there 10Min after check-in time, so I called reception. The receptionist said he wouldn't wait for us because he couldn't and didn't want to. Now we have nowhere to stay, and it's after 00:00.
