The rooms had plenty of space, comfortable beds, and lovely antique furniture. I also liked staying in a renovated old house for a change from high-rises. Breakfast had lots of options, and the coffee and tea available after hours were appreciated. The staff made our stay memorable, especially Sergio and Francisco. They're incredible, and this place is certainly worth recommending.

The shower was the only downside, since its temperature kept swinging from cold to boiling. My room was comfortable and had a big TV. The host was super nice and gave me lots of useful advice, and also looked out for me since I don't speak any Spanish. It felt like staying with a typical local family.

I came back to Santiago the following month and already knew where I wanted to stay. I spent four days feeling like a friend, with advice on what to see and the best ways to get there, all for a reasonable price. On my first visit, I'd arrived at Bed and Breakfast Brothers hostal in Yungai by chance, without a reservation, and they welcomed me warmly. The room was clean and nice, with a great bed and warm comforter. Then Sergio served a delicious, generous breakfast the next morning, saying you have to eat well to start the day, and sat with me to make sure I enjoyed every bit. Highly recommended!

The house has a homely, welcoming feel, and there's a house dog, Freda. Sergio is a real gentleman who gives you a very warm welcome to Santiago. He can also point you toward local restaurants and pubs.
