We spent 60,000 chilean pesos on a room for the night, then arrived from Patagonia to find ourselves locked out of the property, with the room padlocked from the outside. My girlfriend and I had booked it as a nice way to finish our holiday. Instead, we waited outside for over an hour, hoping someone would show up or we could reach the owners. I called the owner's number on Expedia three times and texted too, but got no reply. We were stranded without anywhere to go. Customer service from Bellavista home was completely absent. I've traveled for years and never had this happen before. We contacted Expedia US, who we booked through, but they communicated very badly with the owners and did nothing to help. They said they couldn't refund us because the owner didn't want to. I've never been so disappointed. I'll never use Expedia again, and I wouldn't recommend Bella vista home if you want to be sure of having a bed that night.

I'm a neighbor of this hotel, and I'm upset that they're burning firewood for heat. Our city is already highly polluted, and this place is adding smoke and tar particles to the environment. I warned the manager a week ago, but he still isn't respecting the neighborhood by stopping the pollution. I'll open a legal dispute with the government administration to stop this guy putting our health at risk through his irresponsibility. DO NOT SUPPORT POLLUTION!!

The room seemed a bit dirty, and it had no private bathroom, air conditioning, or fan. There was only a heater, even though Santiago was very hot during the day. There's no 24-hour service either. If you need to get in touch, you have to send a WhatsApp, assuming you were given the number.

Carolina was such a kind, lovely person. The place is a well-preserved old house, with clean, spacious rooms and beautiful paintings. It's tucked away from the busy streets, but only a few blocks from Patio Bellavista, Constitución Street, and Cerro San Cristóbal. I loved it and will be back! 👍😘💟💟💟

Once you get used to how things work here, it feels like home. The design and atmosphere are really nice, and the location is convenient without being too much in the middle of everything. Service is the weak point. There isn't a dedicated service person for this kind of business, and it feels like they're doing you a favor by being there instead of being there to help guests.
