It’s okay for immigrants, but I wouldn’t choose it for a vacation.

I’m writing to formally express how deeply unhappy I was with my recent visit. I chose the place after the receptionist told me it was quiet and away from noise, which mattered because I’d had a long trip and needed to rest. None of that matched what I found. The room was not clean or ready. There were papers and dust around, feces in the bathroom, and the shower didn’t work properly. The sheets were yellowed and had brown stains, which was completely unacceptable. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful throughout, even after I explained how tired I was. I was also charged an extra $10.000 pesos for immediate entry, then waited about 30 minutes for the room. The room was ultimately handed over during the normal check-in time, so the added charge seemed even less justified. To sum up, I didn’t receive the quiet, clean room I was promised; I paid an extra $10.000 despite checking in during the usual hours; and I still had to wait around half an hour. The room was dirty, the bathroom had feces, the shower was faulty, and the sheets were stained and yellow. The receptionist’s manner was rude and unprofessional. I hope you look into this seriously and give a formal response. Experiences like this badly damage customers’ trust and their stay.
The room had a terrible smell, the shower didn’t work, and both the air conditioning and fan were broken. Nobody even told us there was Wi-Fi. It was an awful place to stay, the worst. Don’t come here. I’ve stayed in other places that were tents, and they were much better.
The rooms were in dreadful shape, with cockroaches and ticks, and I found countless ticks on the bed. I suspect the towel they gave me had fleas too, because even using it once to dry my hands left me with intense, uncomfortable itching. The staff were very helpful, though, and the service was excellent.
It’s in a central area, but the rooms had very little space, especially with the bathrooms upstairs via an internal staircase. I was moved between two different rooms on the same day. The kitchen is spacious, though there’s no breakfast access; you have to ask for everything at reception. I was surprised that the woman serving breakfast asked how many spoonfuls of coffee and sugar I wanted. We knew it was a place for a short stay, but the neighbors were very noisy. There were arguments and shouting every day, and even footsteps from other rooms carried through 🤷👎
