We were sorry to leave after just two nights in Santiago. Pamela was such a warm, fabulous host, and we enjoyed chatting with her in Spanish even though she speaks English well. The house is lovely, and our room was cozy, clean, spacious, and well equipped. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh bread, fruit, cheese, eggs, and French-pressed coffee. It was easy and felt safe to walk to the metro and nearby neighborhoods. Pamela also had great suggestions for food and things to do, and was happy to talk about local culture and social topics. Thanks, Pam, for a memorable stay!

Being in the heart of Providencia, on a leafy green street near the metro and buses, made getting around easy. Barrio Italia is just a few steps away, too. Casa La Barca has a distinctive historic feel, spacious rooms, and a delicious breakfast, and I found it much warmer and more relaxing than anywhere else I’ve stayed around the world. Pamela, the innkeeper, was the real highlight. She made my time in Santiago so enjoyable that I changed my plans to stay another night. Pamela is such an amazing host, and we had a lovely stay. The location worked perfectly for us, with safe, convenient neighborhoods for walking and going out to eat. Absolutely a gem, and we’d stay here again.

The place was spotless, though the Wi-Fi did get a little unstable now and then. Breakfast was simple, tasty, and generous. I had a great stay: the host was kind, attentive, and informative, and the location is in a safe neighborhood with lots of restaurants nearby. The metro station is about a 10-minute walk away. I absolutely recommend it.

Barrio Italia’s many restaurants and bars are just a short walk away, and the city is walkable from this quiet street. My partner and I loved staying here. Pamela was a lovely hostess, and the room felt homely, with plenty of space and a nice balcony. Breakfast was great, and when we had an early bus on our last morning, Pamela got up to make it for us.
