We only stayed one night, but it was an easy, really enjoyable visit. Arriving late at 11 PM wasn't an issue, and the hostel was clean, with plenty of nice facilities. Breakfast was included and really good. I got the impression it draws more of a party crowd, though everyone headed to a club together around midnight. We didn't have time to see much of the neighborhood, but Bellavista seemed like a lovely part of town.

Bellavista is a lovely neighborhood for going out, with beautiful street art, and I'd happily return. The hostel has a fun, laid-back feel that seems great for young travelers, plus a really nice outdoor area. Our room faced the street and was noisy, so bring earplugs and you'll be fine.

For the price, it was good to have a kitchen, TV, breakfast included, and helpful staff. My eight-bed room was cold, very dark, and not very clean. The hostel is VERY noisy. Don't come here expecting to rest, this place is for partying.

My boyfriend and I first booked three nights at Kombi just in case it wasn't for us, but we ended up spending our whole week in Santiago at Kombi Hostel. The staff and other guests were amazing. Big thanks to Oscar, Kathe, and Fabia for really looking out for us. The rooms can be noisy because of the local clubs, but if noise bothers you, a hostel probably isn't the right fit. I was coming from Australia with terrible jet lag, yet I slept a lot, even during the day, and nobody disturbed me. There are lots of shared spots to relax, plus separate smoking and non-smoking areas, which I really liked. The communal kitchen is fantastic, especially since eating out in expensive Santiago can make a holiday cost 1000xs more. We had a 10-bed room with two bathrooms just for us. There were also plenty of other bathrooms around the hostel for everyone to use, and staff always kept them clean and checked on them. The check-in staff mostly speak Spanish and English, and they're always happy to help with ideas for things to do around the city. Oscar was especially knowledgeable and helpful with those questions. We'll miss the team at Kombi Hostel, especially palta xoxo

The staff were nice, and there are several hammocks in a good spot to relax. Beds were pretty comfortable, though not the best, and breakfast was the usual bread and jam. The kitchen is small, so only a couple of people can cook at once.
