Staying there felt like visiting a friend. Sam is incredibly helpful, friendly, and genuine, and he clearly knows how to make people feel at ease. He also shared some great tips for getting around Santiago. The place was spotless, breakfast was delicious, and the location was super convenient. I can see why it’s so highly rated.
Restaurants, a supermarket, and public transport are all an easy walk away, so the location is really convenient. Hostel 1918 is a beautiful building, and the owner is welcoming and sincere, with a real effort to make guests happy. We felt safe and comfortable in both the hostel and the surrounding area throughout our stay.
Hostal 1918 is such a charming place, with a beautiful, cozy feel. It’s in a great spot near the metro, supermarkets, restaurants, and bars. The host is lovely, very polite, and has great taste. He’s always willing to help with what guests need.
The boys had a great time with the hand-operated soccer game in the first-floor lobby. Breakfast was cooked for us by the host, who's a handsome, cool former chef. The hostel itself is clean, pretty, and cozy, converted from a family home he inherited from his grandfather. It's also handy for getting around, with an Express supermarket and Santa Isabel subway station just three minutes away.
Samuel, the owner, was incredibly kind. The accommodation was excellent and the atmosphere really pleasant. A perfect place to enjoy Chile.
