We had a room with our own bathroom and a barbecue area, and the owner was very kind. It’s dog-friendly too. The shower is separate for men and women, but that didn’t cause me any problems. The location is great, near the central markets and lots of cafes. There are plenty of currency exchange offices nearby, though watch out for thieves, there are a lot of them. I was really surprised by this lovely, quiet, friendly hostel. I’m definitely going back!

Everything was clean, and the room was ready right away. The location is central. Towels and toilet paper were supplied, though some hangers in the dorm room would have been useful.

Jesús was kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the room itself was spacious, comfortable, and very nice, as was the bathroom. We could have used a bit more storage. The location is hard to beat, and parking is available half a block away for an extra daily charge. I’d advise against driving in Santiago, though, since traffic is heavy and the city can feel chaotic. One thing to know: the private bathroom has no shower. There’s a shared bathroom with showers, and you can lock it while you use one. We only got about five minutes of hot water before having to rinse off with icy water while still soapy. We’re used to quick hostel showers, so this felt especially short. I’m not sure whether it was a one-off that day or an earlier guest had used up the hot water. During our stay, the internet also wasn’t working.

The staff were attentive, and the location is handy, with markets, bars, and small local restaurants nearby. The place itself is very basic and budget-oriented, though, and it could have been cleaner.
