We paid 96,000 pesos for a couple, their child, and dinner for three, which was chicken and rice, but got no receipt or invoice. They first showed me a double room around 11 PM, then said I had to move. Room 101 had an intense, unbearable smell of cat feces coming through the shower window. After that, they reluctantly let us move back to the original room. We woke at 8:30 AM to a band playing. They said breakfast wasn’t included and didn’t offer it, given how upset we were by the whole situation. TERRIBLE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

The place is presented as a hotel, but it’s really a pretty precarious hostel. My boyfriend said the parking lot looked like a chicken coop because they use it as a junkyard. There’s a school next door, and the kids’ screams started very early. The bathroom hallways had no glass windows, so outside noise and cold came straight in. Our room had no heating or air conditioning, and the window wouldn’t seal, letting the cold inside. We spent a freezing night in what felt like the coldest room in the world. The design is fine, but it’s clearly a new build that still needs a lot of work. The low skylight in the bathroom looked onto a common room, so anyone walking past could see in while you showered. The fourth-floor shower had no pressure either. I don’t recommend it ✋🏻

The owner let us stay only if we paid the fee, even though we’d already paid through the app. We were desperate, and she took advantage of us. We reported the case further. This was the only place in Chile where we were robbed. It was horribly dirty, the worst mess I’ve ever seen in a room. It was also tragically loud: kids screamed until almost midnight, tugged at our bedroom doorknobs, and shouted at the door. The owner laughed at us, and then there was a concert in the bar outside. Avoid this place. It should go downhill.

They let us check in at 5 a.m., which I appreciated, and the prices weren’t too bad, though a little high for a hostel. Getting up three floors with a baby and two suitcases was awkward. I’d still stay there again. There are no curtains or anything on the windows, so once daylight comes, it’s hard to sleep. There’s a school next door too, and the place is much too noisy.

I loved the days I spent there. It was my first trip abroad, and I felt really comfortable. Rodrigo the caretaker, the blonde receptionist whose name I forgot, something like kavenra, and the security guard Juan were all super nice to me. It was an amazing stay 😍 The kitchen is big enough to cook a lot and save money while traveling, and there’s a fridge and everything. My room was one of the simpler ones, but it worked really well for me. The location is great, close to everything. The only thing I think could be improved is breakfast. If I come back to Santiago, I’d definitely stay there again. Congrats to the whole team. Just for context, I went in April, which is low season. I don’t know what it’s like in high season, so this is only my experience with the hotel.
