The view was great, and the service was great too. They looked at the TV when it didn’t work and said a technician would fix it, but no one ever came.

It met my needs well. I felt safe, the room was clean, and there are lots of restaurants nearby as well as the metro. The room was tiny, but I was comfortable enough. The shower being out in the open, separate from the toilet in the bathroom, felt weird to me. The staff were friendly and patient with my limited Spanish. I didn’t feel rushed or embarrassed like I have in some hotels in the area.

We felt safe walking around Santiago, and the location was a real plus. The room was small as expected, but we were given two twin beds instead of one double, even though we’re married. The staff’s lack of friendliness was the main problem. No greetings or smiles, including from the receptionist who checked us in. I’d completed the express check-in details after receiving the email, but she said she couldn’t see them, so I had to provide everything again. That made me reconsider dropping my rating to one star, though I’m sticking with two, or 2.5. The checkout receptionist was more helpful. We needed to leave our luggage, which came with a fee that seemed crazy, but she couldn’t make change for the cash we had and didn’t ask us to pay. A small thing, but appreciated. I was planning to give one star, like some earlier reviewers, until her help nudged me higher.
