We arrived at Amistar Apartments today and were left waiting in the lobby. The receptionist took us to the second floor and bluntly pointed out that reception was room 209. When we got inside, it was a shared apartment for four, not the one-bedroom place with a living room and private kitchen for two that we had booked. There was no Wi-Fi, and the stove didn’t work. The receptionist said they were full and could move us the next day. Then, at 11 pm, someone rang our bell. We were two women and didn’t open the door to a stranger. They called and blamed us for not answering the door. I said they could come by in the morning because we weren’t going to open up to someone we didn’t know that late. The receptionist came upstairs with the stranger and introduced him as another receptionist. They said there was a water problem and told us to turn off the air conditioning because water was leaking. Why not leave a sign instead of ringing guests late at night? Nobody apologized at any point. Expect to be treated this way if you stay at Amistar Apartments. Take care!

I’ve been staying at Infinito for work for seven years. It’s in central Santiago, about 400 meters from the financial center, close to La Moneda Palace and beside a hill. There are exits onto both Huérfanos and Merced, and it’s a very commercial area. There are four towers. One has a very nice pool, and you can usually find a parking spot, though there are other options nearby. The apartments are much alike, mostly one- or two-bedroom units for two people. A few of the better ones have two floors. Maintenance is poor, and kitchen equipment varies by apartment, but you can complain and they’ll bring what’s missing. There are several attractive women renting apartments, and I’ve seen some owners there too. It’s not the best, but the location works for what I need.

The location is really central, with shops, bakeries, snack places, restaurants, currency exchange, and the metro all within walking distance. It’s near the forest park and right beside Cerro Santa Lúcia. The apartment itself is cozy and has a kitchen, which I really liked, plus Wi-Fi, a TV, and a good hot shower. Great value!

I’m staying in one of the apartments, but no water comes out of the shower. They won’t let me switch rooms either. Just awful!
