The area around Ibis was peaceful, and we felt safe. We walked across the street to a convenience store every day and enjoyed our stay. The restaurant was handy and the food was fine. We were in Santiago for a soccer tournament, and Ely, the staff member who cleaned our room, was especially lovely and attentive to detail. I wish I could take her home with me. Definitely recommend.

The seasonal air conditioning was a bit of a nuisance. In winter it’s set to heating or fan, and even on the lowest setting the room got so warm I was sweating. The front desk said cooling wasn’t available because the system follows the season. It might be uncomfortable for couples too, I imagine. Still, I’d come back. Everything else, including the price, makes up for that minor issue. It’s a great hotel, about a two-minute walk from the Subway.

The hotel was clean and in a lovely area, and the price was great. Breakfast was fantastic. I’ll be back!

The internet was so unreliable that working or keeping in touch with family was difficult. Breakfast was basic, with the same options every day, and there was no laundry service or gym, which made the stay less comfortable. For the price, the hotel felt low-standard and needs work in several areas to meet even basic expectations for business or leisure travel. I wouldn’t recommend it.
