InterContinental Santiago by IHG

We had a really nice stay. The hotel was spotless, and the staff were excellent. Everyone we dealt with spoke great English. We were upgraded to a lovely one-bedroom suite with two closets, a half bath, a full bath, and a very large bathroom. Breakfast was a big buffet with everything. Nando, who brought the coffee, was great. Well worth it.

The concierge went above and beyond to find me nearby dinner options on a lovely wide street lined with restaurants. They called several places to check which had the oysters I was craving, and the recommendation was perfect. Cristóbal and all his colleagues also took great care of me at breakfast. Beautiful hotel, great service at every level. Five stars!

The location felt safe and was right in the heart of Santiago. Everyone on staff was kind and considerate, and they went out of their way to make guests feel at home. They were happy to help with activities, transport, and food. At breakfast, Felipe Caldera was especially polite and efficient, always smiling. Management and staff chatted with us and the other guests every day. I was glad to hear the original restaurant is being renovated. The guest rooms could use an update too, they need some care and attention. We highly recommend staying at the Intercontinental in Santiago, Chile.

The rooms are spacious, with large king beds, a wide choice of TV channels, and the option to log into streaming services. Coffee machines are there, and kettles can be requested. Housekeeping were great and always available for room service or help. The bathrooms have a bidet, shower, and bath. The bath is low enough to step into, though sitting down in it might be difficult for older guests. Amenities are provided too. Breakfast does the job, with a small selection, an egg station, pastries, and a GF section. Engerbert and Javiera were welcoming, recognized returning customers, and the wait staff were very good. The lobby bar service was attentive, the drinks were great, and the pisco sours were a hit. On arrival, the concierge staff were accommodating with our bags and ready to answer questions about the area, provide maps, and share tourist information. Check-in was seamless, and staff spoke Spanish and English fluently, which is helpful for travelers. They try to meet room requests when possible, and assistance is available 24/7. There’s a pool and indoor gym, and safety is well assured with security always available. My one complaint is that the outside windows need cleaning. Otherwise, an amazing hotel.
