Lancaster Arts Hotel

The staff made the stay for me. They were welcoming and helpful, and the rooms were cozy, very clean, and had everything I needed. I booked a couple of nights while visiting family in Santiago, and I'd happily stay here again. I ended up describing the same visit twice: a couple of nights with family in Santiago, clean, comfortable rooms, and really lovely staff. I'd book again.

The friendly staff were the one good part. I couldn't get any rest in the available room, which they offered to upgrade me to for a small fee. It was completely soundproofed, so you could hear EVERYTHING. They also charge extra for shampoo and breakfast, and the door lock doesn't work. They wouldn't offer early check-in or seemed willing to make an exception. Money wasted.

The new staff have made a remarkable difference since I visited over seven months ago. Everything was pleasant this time, with excellent service and cleanliness. I'd give them 10 out of 10 and recommend them 100%.

Don't stay here under any circumstances. The place smells old and musty, has no ventilation, and there's noise all night. The bathrooms are filthy, the towels stained, and the pillows seem recycled. On top of that, there's no hot water. This hotel is a disgrace.
