Lastarria Hotel

A clean, roomy place in a great spot. The staff were helpful and always around. I'd recommend it for a stay in Santiago.

The soft mattress made it hard for me to sleep. Whenever my partner shifted, the whole bed seemed to move in a wave. Apart from that, we had a great stay. This was our first stop in Santiago, and the hotel was a lovely little find in a busy area. It suited us as newcomers who wanted to explore without venturing too far yet. Everyone was friendly and keen to help. There are lots of shops and restaurants within about a three-minute walk. Breakfast is free next door, though it wasn't the best; it was included with our booking.

Jesus was a star throughout our stay, welcoming and upbeat, and helped with taxis, travel tips, and plenty of other things. He replied quickly on WhatsApp from the time we arrived. The front desk was staffed around the clock, which was reassuring and useful. Breakfast was included just downstairs, and the fridge in the room came in handy. We knew there was no lift when we booked, and it didn't bother us. The room was beautiful, and the air conditioning worked well. Hotel Lastarria is in the middle of lively, trendy Lastarria, but street noise didn't disturb us. A wonderful stay.

The neighborhood has plenty of nice restaurants and bars, and I had a good stay here. This is a small boutique hotel in a funky, graffiti-covered part of Santiago. The four-floor building has no lift. Rooms are moderately sized, clean, and modern, and the internet works well. The staff are friendly and helpful, though our safe didn't work. Breakfast is served at the cafe next door. The food is good, but choices are limited, and a second coffee costs extra. In winter, the cafe feels too small when guests can't sit outside.
