Rincon de Las Condes

The room was perfectly fine for one night, with hot water and comfortable shared areas. The owner was friendly and attentive, and kept track of our arrival and departure times. The area felt very safe.

Getting there was really difficult. We couldn't find an Uber, and neither could our friend. The place felt very old and in poor taste, like a guesthouse attached to another home. We booked it because we wanted to arrive early in the morning after a party. The woman renting it asked when we'd arrive, apparently planning to wait up to let us in, and only reluctantly agreed to give us the keys. She also kept coming in to check on things, which felt suspicious. There was very little privacy.

I went there in person because I'd seen reviews saying she canceled reservations without notice or explanation, so I didn't want to book ahead. Even though I was ready to pay, the woman refused to rent me a room and claimed they were all reserved. I checked Booking.com outside the house and saw three rooms available. Her attitude was terrible, and I ended up finding somewhere better.

We booked the rooms more than a week ahead, but the owner called two days before our reservation to say she wouldn't be able to rent them to us.
