The setting makes getting around Santiago easy. We could walk to most places, find an Uber quickly, and stay close to the city's main sights. It also felt safe and was quiet, with no noise from neighboring rooms. Our room had its own oven, fridge, and microwave, which made it easy to heat or finish cooking frozen meals ordered from the lobby restaurant. It’s a handy mix of apartment convenience and hotel service. The food was delicious, the room lovely, and the service consistently impeccable. Check-in staff spoke English and made the process and our questions straightforward. With other staff, speaking slowly and using a few gestures worked well. The lounges and work areas are spacious and beautifully furnished in a modern, elegant style. The main lounge gets lots of daylight through its large sunroof and opens onto an outdoor patio. I also used the meeting rooms for Zoom calls, and the Wi-Fi was reliable. There are wireless chargers on both bedside tables, a thoughtful touch. If you’re visiting from abroad, bring a power converter. We’re having a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend the hotel. There’s still the rest of the week to enjoy.

We spent two nights here at the beginning of our Chile tour and would gladly return. The spacious room was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. They even let us check in early. The location worked well for exploring Santiago, with everything easy to reach by Uber. There’s a great café next door, plus a drinks shop and a fantastic bakery just around the corner.

We really enjoyed staying in this roomy, comfortable suite, especially the terrace and its sunset views. The restaurant downstairs was another plus, with good food and convenient service. The apartment looked clean at first glance, including the bathroom, but there was quite a bit of dust in some spots. That can make you question how clean the place is overall. Still, it was a great stay.

For what they charge, I’d choose one of the larger hotel chains nearby or an Airbnb with similar amenities for half the price. The breakfast was especially disappointing: our pancakes arrived lukewarm, and the bread was cold, hard, and stale. The cream cheese was difficult to spread and tasted as if it had been sitting in the fridge for days. Service was slow, and walk-in customers seemed to get priority over hotel guests. We were also upset that the pool was closed for the season, even though it was still over 25 C outside. The room wasn’t ready at check-in, and once we got in, it hadn’t been properly cleaned or set up. There was dust, footprints on the floors, and the safe hadn’t been reset. The shower had mold and limescale all over it. Several walls were dirty, the air vent was broken, and the fixtures and furniture were poorly maintained. The building and rooms don’t look or feel like a 4-star hotel. Our experience at The Place wasn’t good.

The restaurant downstairs is a big plus, with good options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a snack. The Place is in a safe, convenient neighborhood that makes getting around Santiago easy. We loved staying here. The rooms are clean, modern, nicely decorated, and, best of all, air conditioned.
