The room smelled odd and there was mold in the bathroom. The floors had only one exit, and both fire doors were left open, which didn't feel safe. You get a free bottle of water when you arrive, but apparently not on the following day, and towel changes don't seem to be included either. With so many other options nearby, I can't recommend it.

The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly, and they gave us a complimentary cocktail on arrival. Some earlier reviews called the carpet old and threadbare, but that's just its pattern. A very nice hotel.

Such a beautiful building, but it needs some tender loving care. There were no plants or flowers, and we got no smile when we arrived. The rooms were short on toiletries, there was no bellman, and the breakfast coffee was terrible. This place has so much potential. Please get a manager!

2/10
The rooms were clean and the cleaning staff were nice, but our large group was unhappy with the hotel. At breakfast, another traveler had a pocketbook stolen from the dining room, and there was no security there, even though Chile is going through a difficult time. The dining staff were inattentive and acted as if guests were bothering them when asking for service. Check-in staff were rude and need customer service training. The room carpets looked like they had been there when Allende was president. With better training, more security, minor upgrades, and additional staff, the hotel could improve easily. If I could, I'd give it minus one star.

Hotel TorreMayor has lovely decor and comfortable amenities in a charming Santiago neighborhood. We also appreciated the complimentary breakfast as a nice start to the day. But the poor service left a lasting impression and dampened our enthusiasm. With better service, Hotel TorreMayor could become a top-notch place to stay in Santiago.
