The rooms are roomy, and the kitchen works well, though I’d want more equipment for a stay longer than a few nights. It’s also a handy base for the ski shuttle, just a short walk to the pickup, and you can get to the Sky Costanera building and center area on foot along some nice streets. The metro and a supermarket are nearby too. You’ll need cash to buy metro tickets at the station. We felt safer here, and the area seemed more upmarket, than central Santiago or Lastarria, where we’d planned to stay. Check-in was a little weird, but we got through it. There aren’t many places to eat within an easy walk, so if you arrive late and don’t want to head out in the dark, delivery may be your only option. We felt safe and comfortable, and I’d stay here again on another ski trip.

My reservation was canceled while I was already on the way to the apartment, and they had given it to someone else by the time I asked to book again. The property said my card had been declined and that they’d emailed me, giving me just six hours to update the payment. I was on an international flight with no internet, so I couldn’t see the email or Booking messages. I’d listed my expected arrival as around 4 PM, and the cancellation came at 4 PM, after I’d landed, cleared immigration, collected my luggage, and arranged a transfer. I was already in the vehicle when I saw the notice and messaged them. I found their response completely disproportionate. I was traveling to another country, and this was a four-night Santiago booking for three people. A few days before the stay, they’d also sent repeated emails asking me to complete pre-check-in by uploading a document that’s only issued at immigration in Chile. I’d entered a credit card during the Booking reservation, as usual. This was a terrible experience. I’d give it zero stars if I could. Avoid this place at all costs.

Things were bad from the start. Our room wasn’t clean, the dish rack was rusty, and the carpet had dog hair all over it. Basic items like soap, a sponge, and a wine opener were missing. We stayed for seven weeks, and the place was set up for longer stays. We were told those supplies should be provided, but when we called the front desk every few nights, they’d say they could bring them, get back to us, or look into it. After three weeks, I had to keep the manager on the phone until they agreed to supply the basics. We booked through Zip housing/Airbnb at a flat rate, but on arrival they asked for a credit card. I didn’t think much of it since it’s a hotel. Then they charged my card another $1,400 for the room and said they’d also charge about $300 USD in hotel tax. I’d paid through airbnb and had never had to pay extra through that service before. They said the $1,400 was only pending and would come off at checkout, but I sent screenshots from my credit card company and its chat showing the charge wasn’t pending and wouldn’t be removed. That was over four weeks ago. They stopped replying, or said they’d look into it first thing tomorrow, but there’s still no response. My card will remove the charges, so I’m not worried about getting the money back. The service shouldn’t be this horrible, especially for what the stay cost.
