Wildlife nearby and incredible views of Torres del Paine made the remote setting feel special. Our room was clean and comfortable, though it was only serviced once during our four nights. The staff were friendly, but the place seemed poorly managed, from our communications to the rundown facilities and very overpriced food. It looks like the property once offered a more complete, polished experience, but now feels a bit dilapidated and underused. The untidy entrance wasn’t a good first impression. Generator noise and no guest cooking facilities were downsides too. We still had a pleasant stay, and the place has plenty of potential if improvements are made.

The estancia and dining house are beautiful, with lovely mountain views from every angle. Directions were easy to follow and gave us a clear idea of how long it would take to arrive. We had a wonderful horseback ride with Don Juan, an incredible cowboy and horseman who showed us how to use the dogs to round up sheep. Afterward, the chef made us a delicious traditional snack. Don Juan and the whole staff made the experience amazing. Couldn’t have asked for anything better!

The rooms were nice, and dinner was excellent. The hosteria is out in the countryside, with a lovely view of the mountains around Torres del Paine National Park. But the rooms and dinner cost far too much for the poor infrastructure. The road is in such bad shape that the 12 km from the farm entrance to the buildings takes almost 30 minutes. The rooms also get quite cold at night because the heating is out of order then.

We only spent one of our four Patagonia nights here, but it ended up being our favorite part of the trip. So peaceful and remote, and just incredibly beautiful. The woman who checked us in was attentive, helpful, and accommodating. We’d been caught out by a road closure and missed our planned breakfast and lunch, so she had a pizza made for us even though lunch wasn’t offered. She was quick to help whenever we wanted a beer, and made our very early checkout easy. Dinner was fantastic too. This was the highlight of our time in Chile. I loved this place!

We only got to spend one night at this stunning place. The rooms are really comfortable, with lovely attention to detail, and the staff, especially the Junior Manager, did everything they could to make our stay memorable. Dinner was delicious. The only downside is the bumpy 12 km road to the Estancia, so off-road tires are very helpful. Thanks for a short but lovely stay! Anni and Chris, better known as Chris with 3 glasses ;)
