I stayed for a month, then left because I couldn't stand it anymore. The shabby building has water leaks and a dripping roof, and a poor dog urinates in the upstairs hallway. The owners are incredibly greedy and charge every time you do laundry. They also lock the kitchen, and after 8 PM you can't get back in because the receptionist turns off the intercom. Don't be fooled by the nice entrance. I've stayed in plenty of places, and this was easily the worst. The receptionist starts out friendly and understanding, then badmouths several people he's had problems with at the hotel. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but then I found out why those problems happened. He's the problem: paranoid, incredibly rude and disrespectful, and treats people very badly. DON'T GO!

I've been coming here for several years. It's a great place to sleep, clean, hygienic, safe and quiet. The owner is super friendly. Nothing to complain about.

In December 2014, we left the hostel after cleaning and returning our room and furniture in good condition. The owner and her partner checked the mattress, bed frame and furniture in front of us, then said they'd return our security deposit that day or the next. The next day, they called to say they'd found a LARGE CRACK in the mattress just as we were leaving. We knew it was a lie to avoid paying, so we left everything there and tried to forget that horrible experience. We'd paid 150,000 pesos to live in those conditions, always on time, even though we were young and from very, very low-income families. We were and are good people. We never stole anything, and there was no reason to treat us that way. It was humiliating. I'll remember this experience and warn anyone thinking of staying there. Julio and Makarena, from the room with a street-facing window beside the entrance staircase, in 2014. I lived there for 10 months while studying, and it was a nightmare. The owner was incredibly stingy. She charged us for using the washing machine and charged us 2000 pesos for gas, even though several other rooms were using it too. She bought a 5 kg gas cylinder, so she pocketed whatever was left from the gas money. At night we couldn't cook because the kitchen was locked, and our assigned kitchen time was only 6 to 7 pm. People who didn't live or stay there were allowed in at night, which felt quite dangerous. We weren't supposed to use the shared areas, including the dining room and hallways. When we did use them once, it led to a huge argument, and the owner verbally kicked us out that night.

The owners were lovely people and great hosts, and the service and atmosphere were excellent. Thanks so much for everything. We recommend this place 100%.
