Cabaña en Valle de Elqui

The scenery and quiet made this a lovely spot to unwind, and Mrs. Marcela was kind and helpful. We did run into a couple of small cabin issues, but they got sorted out. There were also so many bees around the pool that it was hard to relax there properly.

The owner may be nice, but her description of the accommodation isn't very honest. The cabin feels like a shack from 1990, with creepy, cheap-looking tiles and thin walls that let you hear everything the neighbors are doing. The beds are poor quality and uncomfortable, especially for young adults. If you're coming, don't take acid or mushrooms, this place would make for a terrible trip. Spend 10,000 pesos more and stay somewhere you can get a comfortable night's rest.

You get the place to yourself, including the cabin and pool, and the quiet makes it a good spot to relax. The pool is quite deep, nearly 1.5 meters. There’s a kitchen, refrigerator, sink, queen-size bed, and more. It’s moderately pricey and you’ll really need a car, so it won’t suit everyone, but I think it’s worth it if you can afford it.

The cabin was super comfortable, and Angela, our host, was such a warm and spectacular person. The place is beautiful, with an incredible view and a gorgeous deep blue sky. We hope to come back when it’s warm in summer.
