We ended up delighted with Diaguitas. It’s authentic and well cared for, and Rustiko is lovingly decorated, with beautiful, clean spaces and a delicious, plentiful breakfast. Claudia, the owner, was a 7 out of 7, very attentive, quick to respond, full of great recommendations, and always in a good mood. We’d picked Rustiko for its location because we planned to visit the Mamalluca Observatory at night and wanted an easy trip back with the children. It turned out to be a wonderful discovery. I hadn’t heard of Diaguitas before.

Diaguitas is a charming, peaceful village, a great place to get away for a while. Rusti.Ko Experiencias is cozy, spotless, and has a lovely traditional feel. The beds are very comfortable, and it’s equipped with what you need, including shampoo, conditioner, and soap. There’s also a barbecue area, laundry room, and a terrace that’s perfect for stargazing. Claudia, the owner, and Nicolás gave us a warm, friendly welcome from the start. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and they thoughtfully asked in advance what time we needed it. They offer tours around the Elqui Valley in your own car or theirs. Just be aware that the contract says responsibility remains with the guest, even when Nicolás is driving. We’d recommend the place to couples and families alike.

Everything was spotless and the beds were really comfortable at this hostel in Diaguitas. Claudia’s hospitality stood out most. She was attentive throughout and made us feel at home.

Claudita, thanks so much for a wonderful stay. The hostel was comfortable and very clean, in a peaceful, magical spot. Breakfast included local products. We’d highly recommend it.
