Mapu Hostel

There’s a garage if you arrive by car, and a kitchen and barbecue area separate from the rooms so people who are resting aren’t disturbed. The rooms are spacious and always clean. Staff were attentive and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.

It’s still good here, but I miss Mapu. I stayed years ago when it was Mapu Hostel and remember the excellent service, nice rooms, and friendly atmosphere. I’ve come back for another vacation and found that a different company now runs it under the name Hospedaje Hostel. The place is practically empty since everyone’s vacation has ended, which is fantastic.

For the price, this hostel is a real gem: welcoming, friendly, and they take debit cards. The included breakfast is substantial, with tea, coffee or milk, fresh juice, yogurt, bread, and fruit. There’s Wi-Fi, the beds are warm, and the hostel itself stays nice and warm too. The bathrooms and showers are very clean. Backpackers will find a good-sized kitchen with all the necessary utensils, including a stove with a hood.

Friendly atmosphere and low prices. Even the breakfast, which wasn’t very good a year ago, has improved a lot and is now quite decent.
