Esencia Hotel Boutique & Gourmet

We stayed three days and two nights with my elderly parents, and I’d recommend this lovely little hotel without hesitation. It has just seven guest rooms, with thoughtfully designed rooms and shared spaces that are clearly cared for. The photos are real, not AI. The owners, Nieve and Marcelo, and Constanza at the front desk were especially warm and genuinely gracious. The rest of the staff were lovely and helpful too, though most of our interactions were with those three. It’s a personal kind of stay, not a big chain hotel, and the central location in Vina del Mar meant we could leave the car and walk around pretty much everywhere.

I’m so glad I found Esencia. I travel a lot and look for a comfortable place in a good location with attentive staff, and this was just right. It’s a charming little boutique hotel on a quiet street, with 3 rooms and 4 casitas, a nice change from a huge, sterile high-rise. Marcelo and Nieves, the owners, are lovely, and they speak Spanish and English, which gave me a chance to practice my Spanish. They also own Don Emelio restaurant, which I think is the best in Viña Del Mar. I’m there for my second lunch now. The food is spectacular, and I’m pretty picky about food, so don’t miss it.

The location is peaceful, with restaurants and cafes close by. The people were so nice, the beds were very comfortable, and breakfast was the best. We’ll come back just to stay here. It was the absolute best in every way.

Right in the heart of a nice neighborhood, this boutique hotel is easy to get to and truly excellent. The hospitality and value were incredible, and the breakfast was a great way to start the day. Service was first class and responsive whenever we needed anything. Don’t pass it up!
