Hotel la Casa del Almirante

The hotel sits in a dead-end passage called "El Hogar," and it's easy to find. It's nicely decorated, cozy, and consistently clean, with staff who are always attentive to guests' comfort. There's a newly added room, bringing the total to six; the website has more details about them. All the rooms are quite spacious and well decorated. Breakfast is fresh and generous: juice, coffee, milk, bread, yogurt, margarine, jam, and cereal, with scrambled eggs available on request.

The owner lives next door and is extremely attentive. We stayed in winter, but the fireplace and central heating meant we barely noticed the cold. The hotel is beautiful, with spacious rooms, wooden walls, and a large bathroom.

This is ridiculously expensive for a place with so few services. There's no elevator, so you have to carry your own luggage, and there's no parking, so you can't bring your car. There's no kitchen service or meals, and it's not centrally located, far from restaurants and entertainment. It's not wheelchair accessible and has neither an outdoor pool nor beach access. The advertised services simply aren't true, including paid parking.

The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly. The hotel has beautiful views and lovely furnishings. Our room was comfortable, bright, and spacious, with a beautiful bathroom.
