The rooms are spacious, and breakfast is good. It’s also close to the shore. This iconic Viña del Mar hotel used to be run by the city hall and is now managed by Panamericana Hotels. It has a lot of potential, but it urgently needs a facelift. The furniture is beautiful but from the past century and needs maintenance.

There’s a supermarket close by, and the lobby is beautiful, with the hotel’s own restaurants. The big rooms have comfortable beds and modern bathrooms, and the amenities make it feel like home. It’s an iconic city hotel near lots of restaurants and money exchange. The rooms need updating, though, and could use an AC unit.

The rooms are spacious, though a little dated. The heat wasn’t working, but they brought us a space heater, which was nice. Breakfast was good, and parking was free.

The food was pretty good. This was once a classic art deco hotel, but the modernization seems to have been done on too small a budget.
