At 60,000 CFA a night, the room didn’t come close to matching the low standard or the lack of amenities. The flashy look and fairy tale photos set expectations this place couldn’t meet, and I’m not convinced the reviews are genuine. The building was clean and the staff attentive, but their very limited English made things difficult. I couldn’t get guidance on connecting to the Wi-Fi, and needed their help just to close the window after airing out the room. The TV was awkward to see from the bed. There was no restaurant serving food or breakfast, only a very loud outdoor disco whose music carried on well past midnight. They refused my request for a quieter room. The bathroom was badly built, so water ran into the corridor. There was no shampoo or soap, and no hot shower until the last morning, after I’d complained several times. With all of that, I can’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had a wonderful stay at Farhyda & Freres. The place was clean, bright, cozy, and had a distinct local feel. The staff made us feel welcome and were friendly and helpful. Thanks so much for the hospitality. I’d recommend it to anyone traveling in Cameroon.

The food was phenomenal, nothing like what I’m used to in the US. I was traveling outside the country for the first time from the USA, and this hotel caught my eye. The staff were so friendly, and even taught me a little French, lol. I also got to tour each building, which was an incredible experience. I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re traveling in the area.
